[Frankly, Black Hat wants no part in any gift-giving ritual, secret or not, and with the warning to make it a nice gift, he's doing the exact opposite.
Some time after the Nattensfest festivities have ended, Sonic receives a neatly wrapped box. When touched, it's fairly evident there's some sort of mechanical device active inside, a small motor running on a limited power source. Opening the box reveals its gruesome contents: a rudimentary life support system maintaining lungs, a heart, and a brain on a machine, just barely enough to keep all three organs alive and 'functioning' for a short few days. If the battery dying doesn't end this poor soul's life, the lack of an immune system will.
Flug does know his way around these sorts of things.
Of course, none of that will be a problem, as opening the box will trigger the machine keeping the heart pumping to accelerate the rate, going faster and faster until the organ messily bursts in a lovely poof of gore. At least the sap's misery ends with it?
At the very bottom of the box, should it be sifted through, there is a laminated card with a black hat logo in a circle on it and nothing more. Nothing 'secret' about this Secret Santa gift!]
